Slowly white birds began to flutter around, the shikigami he had created long ago and let lose within the city. He used them to assist him now. Yet, as he wove his spell something seemed wrong with the creature, as if the spell they had intended to unleash where somehow backfiring. This was not a situation Lute was unfamiliar with, many a time an over confidant mage would try and cast a spell beyond them, only to mismanage it and be consumed by their spell.
