-Tir had spied the drone mother using the phone. So he thought he'd give it a try. Maybe it was a connection to the outside. Someone on the other end had to know what was going on. Now if he could just figure out how to work it...-

How do you even... Okay, the end with the string goes by my chin, right? Right, so... She spun this wheel with her finger and... No, that doesn't seem to do anything...

-In the distance, a voice calls out.- Young Master! Young Master! -It sounded almost panicked... And it probably was.-

Gremio... Gremio! -The phone clangs as it is apparently dropped.- Gremio! Gremio, come on! We have to get out of this place! Do you have your axe? Anything?

There you are Young Master! -Gremio's reply is filled with relief and becomes slightly louder as he gets closer.- Ah! Now that you mention it... I don't seem to have any of the supplies with me at all.

They're not in the building. I already checked. Let's head outside and see just where we've been abducted to. -And there's not much else beyond that as there's a rushing past the receiver and the sound of a door crashing open.-

I don't know if they're brainwashed... No one's been able to figure it out yet... But this place isn't... Well, it seems really happy on the outside, but it's not.

There's a small group of people we hear from sometimes who seem to run it, but whenever you do, it's not good for the people pulled here. They do cruel things, then pretend they never happened.

[Caesar isn't exactly the type to actively bother anyone just wandering around, but he is outside today.

He's still trying to get the hang of having a horse around, so he's managed to ride it out to the park without much incident. The green-furred grasslands horse is tethered to a park bench while Caesar uses the peace and quiet to catch up on some assigned reading from school-- oh, wait, no, I meant doze. The book itself is left open and idle in his lap while he quietly snores the afternoon away.]

The phone is a communication device. Normally you can only use it to talk to one person at a time, but here in Mayfield anything you say into it is public, so it'll be broadcast for everyone to hear. You can learn how to use filters so that you can only talk to a specific person, though.

Anyway, it's quite useful for talking to people without having to always see them in person. Every house here has one.
