-Tir had spied the drone mother using the phone. So he thought he'd give it a try. Maybe it was a connection to the outside. Someone on the other end had to know what was going on. Now if he could just figure out how to work it...-

How do you even... Okay, the end with the string goes by my chin, right? Right, so... She spun this wheel with her finger and... No, that doesn't seem to do anything...

-In the distance, a voice calls out.- Young Master! Young Master! -It sounded almost panicked... And it probably was.-

Gremio... Gremio! -The phone clangs as it is apparently dropped.- Gremio! Gremio, come on! We have to get out of this place! Do you have your axe? Anything?

There you are Young Master! -Gremio's reply is filled with relief and becomes slightly louder as he gets closer.- Ah! Now that you mention it... I don't seem to have any of the supplies with me at all.

They're not in the building. I already checked. Let's head outside and see just where we've been abducted to. -And there's not much else beyond that as there's a rushing past the receiver and the sound of a door crashing open.-

[Kira's quite used to the faces of Mayfield by now, and that look of 'what in the hell is going on?', so she'll stop as she's coming out of the store, maybe a meal's worth of food in hand - with so many cooks she doesn't have to do it all the time after all - and will pause a bit and call out to them as they approach.]

Oh, well...this is a town called Mayfield. It's supposed to be in a country called America, but that isn't certain since people from different worlds are taken here quite frequently.

I take it the two of you are new here? I heard you on the phone earlier...

Not much, I'm afraid. The most we got from some of the locals is a name for this village. And that they perceive me as Gremio's son. And that we've, apparently, lived here for all our lives. But we both know that's not true.

Um, it's a bit weird to explain... But this place, it pulls people from all over and puts them into families. The ones saying you've been here all your life are what everyone calls 'drones'. They'll never believe differently, no matter how often you tell them the truth.
