Fifty Seventh Star [Accidental Video]

-The screen flickers on, the image on its side. The image is a semi-dark hallway, but there is movement down at the end of it. There's sounds of a struggle and while it's not very clear at first what exactly is going on, it might soon become apparent.-

Boy, you've caused enough trouble. Keep still already!

-The voice belongs to the man dressed in mostly white, Credo, who can be seen pinning a smaller body down on the floor of the hall. The screen fuzzes a little as it's bumped into, a young girl with blue hair runs into the video feed and starts yelling at everyone to stop, and tugs at Credo who's still trying to get the boy to stop resisting. She's clearly upset.-

Stop that! L-Let Cecil go! He didn't do anything! Please!

-She turns to the other man who can now be seen standing a bit behind what was going on. Tugging at his sleeve she pleads with him.-

Tir, please don't do this!

-The Tenkai doesn't respond, he just keeps a relatively straight face, not stopping this, but nether does he stop the girl from continuing to tug and plead with him. While this happens, Credo manages to get the boy up on his feet and keeps a good hold on him. Though not good enough that a hand doesn't get away for him to reach out for the girl and cry her name.-

RIKA!

Enough. You're making this more difficult than it needs to be. The both of you.

-Rika, sniffling goes to reach for Cecil's hand but Credo tugs it back behind his back, holding him still. She turns to Tir then, her face showing anger as tears slide down her cheeks.-

How could you? You were his oniichan!

-She demands of the Tenkai, rubbing an eye, as if she might cry, but there's nothing. Not yet. Tir's eyes go from his fellow officer, to Cecil, and then flicker to Rika. He doesn't have anything to say, not right now. All he can do is reach for the pair of cuffs he brought with him, the sound of them clinking as they dangle from his fingers ringing in the hallway.

And then the feed cuts off.-

[[ ooc: Big thanks to all the muns who helped write this. Blue is Rika, Green is Cecil, and Gold is Credo. Cecil has now been arrested for his crimes officially. ]]

[Oh, no surprise here. He's still kind of struggling. He's trying to get to Rika, but with the cuffs, he's pretty screwed.]

-He gives a tug to the cuffs. It's a command to stand up. He couldn't even attempt to speak... there were no words. Credo could handle that.-

[The tugging and pleading didn't work, so now Rika's yanking at Tir's clothing, trying to pull him away from Cecil. She's only a child, so it doesn't really do much...]

He's not going to do anything anymore! Stop! Let him go!

[Credo let's Tir handle Cecil for the moment and he moves to gently yet firmly take Rika off the Tenkai, bringing her aside. He feels for her, he does, but right now they need to bring him in.]

Cecil is a dangerous boy. He's done things before this, he's killed people. He used you and turned you into some beast that I had to slay to 'save' him, and he is going to pay for those actions.

[His gloved hand lets her go, and he gives her an apologetic look, but he'll still be firm with her if he has to.]

You can come with us to the jail, but please, don't make this more difficult than it already is, Miss Furude.

[Stand? Cecil's trying so hard not to grumble, and slowly complies, struggling to stand with the way they're holding the cuffs. He was just a little off balance.

His eyes find Credo, and he can't help but feel incredibly angry that he's just around her. He attempts to wiggle out of Tir's grip and make a run for Credo.]

-Which wasn't possible. Tir's grip is firm and unyielding. Credo's only doing what Tir himself didn't have the strength to at the moment... a familiar situation.-

I know he has, but that was a long time ago back in February! You heard the evidence, right? I was upset with what he did, but he regretted his actions... and I- I forgive him! I forgive him for everything... even if no one else does!

I'll take care of him! He won't do anything anymore, he won't!

[Normally, she would have given up by now, but she continued to refuse to cooperate. The two officers are bigger and stronger than her. She could easily be stopped, but her mind wasn't thinking clearly.

The moment Credo releases her, she starts going for Cecil again, reaching out for him. She just wanted to take him and run...]

Cecil! CECIL!

[It's about now that Kaye hears the commotion outside and pulls open the door to see the cops arresting Cecil. She looks about as happy as the other two about this.]

Shit.

[The words are grumbled under her breath and she turns to Credo and she's trying to think fast. Alright, they're doing this pretty 'Cops' style so they've got to have something on him. That means they're not leaving him here. There's no way. This Credo guy seems like a hardass who won't listen to a damn thing she has to say. Tenkai is probably the better approach, but he's busy battering a ten year old. Good job cops, way to follow the system.]

Which one of you is moving in, because he's not getting locked up again.

[Before Credo can calmly talk to Rika, she's already going back to Tir and Cecil. He's about to go over and try to talk some sense into her, but the girl who lives with the two comes out. Credo has a feeling this is going to become increasingly more difficult because of that.]

[Arms crossed over his chest, Credo does plan on being a hard ass. He'll listen, but he's not going to yield to the idea of leaving Cecil here. Whether there is a cop there or not. And ffff Tir is not battering Cecil, he's just holding him with the cuffs on... maybe in a uncomfortable position, but hardly battering the boy. If anyone did that earlier it was Credo to make his calm down enough to get the cuffs on him. He's mean and sat on him.]

No one is moving into the apartment. Cecil is a criminal and he will go back to jail.

[Cecil doesn't care. He's really just wiggling too much, and is liable to pop his own shoulder out of the socket in the hopes of freeing himself at least somewhat. But the cuffs are on too tight, and he can't reach her anyway.

With Kaye arguing, and Rika calling his name, Credo turning them both down... and especially Tir holding him still... Cecil's mind shut down. His eyes closed halfway and he stopped struggling, instantly zoning out.]

Rika...

-When Tir felt Cecil go lax, he moved a hand to gently right him and keep him from falling over. The dejection in his voice and his stance... it was too much. They needed to get him out of there. He gave a wordless gesture to Credo, indicating as much.-

[It was true that he was a criminal, but Rika wanted to yell that she didn't care about that. He was still someone very precious to her. But saying that wouldn't change anything.

She was planning on trying to fight again, pull and separate Cecil from Tir. But seeing him zone out, just made her stop right before him. She'd seen him go into that state before, but she didn't know how to bring his mind back...]

Ce- Cecil... no... [Cupping her hands around Cecil's face, she tips it upwards slightly and presses her forehead lightly against his.]

...I knew it. All that time, you were talking to me as a police officer, rather than his oniichan. [And that was directed to Tir.]

[Shhh, Kaye likes to mentally exaggerate sometimes. She crosses her arms over her chest and looks about as about to budge as Credo does.]

Yeah, so one of your guys can go sucking out his soul again? No.

[When Cecil goes limp she mutters another shit. She has to do something fast, so she just blurts out the first thing that comes to mind. Hey, she's not very good at making thought out plans. She's a faerie who wings it.]

Then arrest me too. I'm an accessory or something. I knew and didn't tell you. That's a crime right?

[Hehe, of course. Most of us girls do. And Credo inwardly flinches at the jab to Tir. He'd heard about that... and he had all the intention of making sure that wouldn't happen again. Tir was a good man and comrade to work with, but he always kept that in mind.]

That will not happen again. I will take full responsibility for Cecil during his stay in jail.

[And then there is more added drama as Cecil seems to blank out, still asking for Rika though. He wishes Tir was a bit more... responsive himself, but understands that this might be difficult for him. He should have brought someone else with him for the arrest. As he's about to go to Tir and have them leave, the girl insists on dropping a bombshell on them.]

According to the laws set here, no. But if you think this will help Cecil at all, you are wrong. Making this arrest more difficult will serve no purpose other than stringing out the inevitable.

Once he is taken in there can be discussions on his sentencing and what shall be done with him. Until then I would ask you to let us take him in. He is a criminal and will be dealt with like one.

[And with that he turns his back to her and goes over to Tir and Cecil and Rika. He attempts to calm Rika again, so they can leave without her clinging to Cecil and being dragged along.]

[Steady... he barely feels himself standing on his own two feet, and his vision's blurred beyond recognition. Anything in his ears is just a jumbled mess of nothing. He would comply, only because he couldn't stop himself at this point.

Surprise comes when only one voice breaks in, calling his name. The faint touch of someone's hands, her forehead against his, breath touching... his eyes slowly lift, and Rika drifts into view, barely for a second or two.

He opens his mouth to say something, but before he can utter a word, he's gone once more. And this time, it would take a while bringing him back.]

-The verbal stabs, the sight of Cecil in this state, and what it was doing to Rika... was he really doing the right thing? Yes, he was doing his JOB, but was it truly something that he could look back on without regret? Would his father have been proud of this? Would anyone? He felt like even more of a monster...

Gently, he just held Cecil steady. Credo would have to lead the way, as much of Tir's focus was on keeping Cecil from falling over.-

[All of Rika's attention shifted onto Cecil. The small flicker of life in his eyes made her feel hopeful, but it didn't last very long. Time to try again. She continued to softly call out his name.]

Cecil. Cecil. I won't give up. Cecil... you'd- you'd better wake up now or I'll-... I'll play a penalty game on you...

[Her voice was beginning to crack and her calls were sounding more desperate. She slowly slipped her hands away from Cecil's face, her arms wrapping around his neck to embrace him.

Credo or somebody would have to tear her off him.]

It's me... Rika. I'm waiting for you... please...

[Kaye bit her lip as she tried to think. They wouldn't let her be arrested. That was bullshit, but fine. When Rika started to embrace Cecile she realized she'd have to be the adult here. Shit, she was only sixteen! She wished Ellen were here. At least she'd have some idea of what to do ... right?

Brushing past Credo she rested a hand on Rika's shoulder. She couldn't let this keep going. The cops didn't give a shit that they took care of their own messes, that this wasn't their worlds and they couldn't really enforce shit here. All they cared about was whatever they felt like. It was like being under the hill again, only with less dismemberment. She felt like she was going to throw up.]

Rika, we've got to let it go for now.

[She sounded like she was shaking. She was shaking.

She looked back at Credo, blue eyes as serious as she could make them.]

You're staying here. I want some answers before you go off and I never see you again. I want to be able to visit him, and I want to know the bail. Your perfect cops neglected that last time.

[Relieved that the girl was letting up, for now, he was fine with staying to talk to her. Well, after they got Cecil back to the jail. He couldn't let Tir do it alone.]

I am fine with discussing this with you. But under the circumstances, I won't be letting Tir handle Cecil on his own. Surely you understand. I can return here promptly after he has been secured and someone is keeping guard. [Not Tir, though he can be there but not alone with the boy.]

And I say this for all the officers, we are not perfect, we know we aren't. What we do is meant to keep people safe, and I'm sorry that you don't agree with it. [He moves to Tir now, motioning for them to get going. They need not drag this out any longer.]

I'll return shortly. We can talk more then.

[The sudden arrest of a fellow conspirator is unexpected, to say the least, and Riful is quite surprised, and not at all sure what the hell is going on. Should she refrain entirely from commenting, so there won't appear to be any link between her and Cecil? Should she play the 'shocked and appalled little girl'? Should she try to contact Cecil at all?

And she's worried for her cover. Riful doesn't think Cecil will give her away, probably not willingly, but one can never be sure, and this really isn't an ideal situation of any kind.
