I find myself wondering if this could possibly be a vision of Soul Eater... It was something Leknaat told me of once. That the Runes themselves can show visions of or even grant passage to other realities. Her own Rune governed part of that delicate balance...

In my world, whether directly or indirectly, one nation seems to control most of everything. The Holy Harmonian Empire. Toran used to be their sovereign before it was handed over to the Rugner family...
