Coming forward with some information on the Rika Furude case, though it may just be circumstantial. Either way it's something I'm going to pursue because all it is for me is talking to them...

1) Cecil attempted to cut out his own chip on August 29th.
2) Shortly after saving Cecil from himself, Rika Furude thanked me. In private.
3) She is aware that Cecil's behavior has been increasingly erratic since her death. She vaguely mentioned "punishing" him.

Now I've been going about this as a friend to both of them, not as an officer. Any thoughts on these points, ladies and gentlemen?

Not really. I've taken to carrying a knife for defense, but it's not particularly useful unless I know how to use it, and it's the first time I've ever tried fighting with a knife.

Sure have! Master Kai put me through some of the harshest training he knew to make me into a worthy apostle of his style.

The staff. Heaven Fang was a gift from him, acknowledging my accomplishments as his student.

He... never finished training me, though. He disappeared shortly after that. I didn't see him again until years later.

To be honest... I think it's because he knew before I did how things were going with the current government. He wanted nothing to do with it, so he left...

When the war put a republic in place, he decided to stay rather than his original plan of returning to the life of wandering. Sometimes I wish I could have done the same...
