Kazuki shifted himself over to sit next to him, took his hand and leaned his head on his shoulder, letting out a contented sigh. His fingers felt warm, laced with Tir's. I'm happy to have you back.
Tir pressed a light kiss to Kazuki's forehead, nearly overcome with a strong emotion he couldn't put words to as he wrapped himself close to the other. He didn't want to let go... he'd been away too long, after that whole scare. Minato was right... he needed this.
He could feel that little wave of emotion from Tir, that quiet desperation. Kazuki often wondered what went together with all of the things that made up his partner, how exactly all of the things that had happened to him caused who he was today, how he thought about it, what it was like to carry that burden. He wondered how he was able to stand at all. What really was an eternity? He wouldn't be able to be there. Discedo could send him home tomorrow for all he knew.
It was kind of funny, now he was more frightened of leaving than staying.
Kazuki turned to his side, so he could hold Tir against him, and tucked his chin into his black hair.
It felt safe, being close to Kazuki like this. He could simply be with the other and not worry so much about his life or his responsibilities. Everything in the world outside seemed so small now...
It wasn't long before he began to gently drift to sleep. It was, perhaps, some of the best sleep he'd had in weeks. After all that had happened... all that he had witnessed...

He needed this. He needed Kazuki.
