-There is the sound of a bo staff being used on a few nurses. To those familiar with Tir... those sounds are VERY familiar-

"You know, it's weird... even knowing what's going to happen, I feel better fighting beside you like this, Viki."

"It really is nice fighting alongside you again, even if...well, what's going to happen, Tir?"

"Well, I'm going to turn myself in, for one.... And you know what? I don't really feel a lot of problem with that. Like a great weight lifted off my shoulders. It's odd."

"But...I'm not mad at you at all, Tir..."

"...We should get out of here. I can't delay the inevitable any further."

"I really wish I could help a bit more with the fighting. Hey, Tir. Can I come visit you?"

"Um... I don't see why not. I guess it will be up to Sir Redfield."

"How long will you be in prison, Tir?"

"...I don't know"

"I'm...going to miss you. I'll have to find a new place to stay until you're out, but I'll wait, okay?"

"What, you don't plan on staying with Kazuki and Maora?"

"I'd rather stay with you, Tir!"

"And I'd rather you stay with them for now."

"I don't really know them as well as you..."

"But I do know Kazuki. And I want you to stay with him."

"Hey, Tir...do you think I'm strong enough to live on my own?"

"Well... Probably. But I'd still worry. I'd worry less if you were with Kazuki."

"There are a lot of monsters in here...at this rate, I'm going to forget how to use my rune again...Oh, w-wait! Maybe I can stay with one of my friends, Tir."

"You know, maybe we should worry about this AFTER we're out of the hospital."

"Right! That makes sense. Oh, be careful!"

-There's an inhuman shriek as another group of nurses attack Tir and Viki. Obviously the pair has been brought back!-

Kazuki sobbed, unable to hold himself back. He felt pitiful and stupid and he didn't like it at all, but couldn't stop. Even though he had for so long yesterday...

His heart begged for Tir to do something, anything than just stand there. but he couldn't find the words to say. He hiccuped in frustration, wanting nothing more than to scold, apologize, even just ramble, but he was unable to.

As he watched Kazuki, trying to smile for him, his resolve to stand back like some criminal dissolved quickly. He moved to Kazuki in a swift motion, wrapping his arms tightly about the other. He still couldn't say a single word. None of them were good enough. But still... he could still do this.

He buried his face in Tir's shoulder, hands curling into his clothes. That need for comfort, comfort that they usually provided for each other, had been neglected for so long reared itself up and took precedence over anything else.

Slowly, his crying stopped. Being held by Tir still had that calming effect, no matter what he had done. Kazuki didn't really feel like moving, or saying anything at all, but...

"...So you're going to turn yourself in?" He asked, voice raw and scratchy.

"I... don't have a choice," Tir responded, kissing the top of Kazuki's forehead gently. He didn't know how else to respond. But yes... that was the plan. To turn himself into the police and have his right hand removed. He would then proceed to trial and accept whatever punishment was deemed fit. There was no question of his guilt...

The selfish side of him didn't like it. But his reasonable side knew it was the right thing to do.

"I know," he replied, sniffling and regaining his composure. His hands loosened out of Tir's shirt.

"It's just that... You won't be there. I'm gonna be alone."

Okay, not entirely. He knew that. But the important ones, the one's that were really close to his heart were gone. Naoto, Kahoko... and now Tir.

"Kazuki...," Tir spoke softly, brushing some of the other's hair aside. It was getting a bit long, he noticed. Maybe he wouldn't have even seen it had he been with the other the entire time...

"If you can, I'd like you to stay with Minato and Kadaj. Maora and Viki are finding other arrangements as well."

He nodded. Kadaj scared him a little, but he trusted Minato. And he didn't think he could stay in that apartment without Tir.

Kazuki tried to look up at him though his bangs. He could see the cut, and the bruise forming on his cheek. He honestly didn't think he could punch that hard.

"Oh, geez," He winced, and reached up to gingerly place a hand on his face, "I didn't think I hit you that hard..."

Tir could only laugh, raising a hand to meet Kazuki's on his face. It was bittersweet, yes, but...

"I'm actually a bit surprised myself. I was expecting punches, but you nearly cleaned my clock with those blows, ha ha!" he laughed nervously, a slight flush on his face from the touch.

"I didn't mean to..." Or maybe he did. He didn't know. His mind was all in a haze from being angry.

Kazuki moved their hands away, and laid a gentle kiss on Tir's cheek. Even if he was feeling somewhat apathetic towards Tir, this would probably be their last chance in awhile.

That kiss...

It wasn't long before Tir, instinctively, positioned his face as if to ask for more. Lips so close together, all it would take was a simple twitch to bring them to touch. He wanted so badly to comfort Kazuki... to tell him that things would be alright now.

That gesture was familiar, and Kazuki knew full well what Tir wanted. Part of him wanted it too. But...

He shrunk away and looked down, refusing the invitation. It was impossible for him to kiss like that right now. You're gonna have to be happy I'm here at all, his pettiness spoke up, you're lucky I'm this kind. Don't push it.

...He pulled away. The punches never could have hurt as much as that one, simple gesture. But it also had the most meaning to it. And he knew well what it implied... And he deserved it. After all that had happened, he deserved it.

Kazuki's vision had come true. And in a way more horrible than Tir could have ever prepared for. Would this be the end of them? Part of him knew it wasn't, but still...

...It couldn't be the same.

Kazuki sighed heavily, knowing he had hurt him. He didn't really like doing it, it just... It was something he had to make sure Tir understood.

In a gesture of sympathy, he pressed his fingertips to his own lips, and then touched them to Tir's. A rain-check, he guessed. Telling him not to give up. They'd make it up again, someday.

It was enough to get a slightly forlorn smile out of Tir, at least. He wouldn't give up... Kazuki was worth doing anything for. He would make this up to him, no matter what happened. He deserved that...

"Minato's probably tired of waiting."

"Mmn," He nodded, feeling slightly anxious now that he knew they were going to be separated again. Unable to look him in the eye, he took Tir's hand instead, and squeezed it gently.

"I hope... That they don't keep you for very long."

Tir returned the gesture, but really couldn't think of a thing to say to return Kazuki's hopeful words. He knew what he was in for. It was murder, cold blooded murder. He was getting the highest level of punishment...

But maybe he could talk Sir Redfield into allowing conjugal visits.

Reluctantly, Kazuki let go, and stepped out of Tir's way so he could pass. His chest tightened up in pain as he realized what he was letting him do. But ever since they had come together, he had a feeling that something like this was going to happen... It was the risk he had accepted. He could only hope that Tir had truly learned his lesson.
