Alright, now that I've done some thinking, I realize there's something I should say...

When I left the Republic and refused its Presidency, it was because of my Rune. But seems to be only what I told myself. In reality, it was something a lot more difficult to define, but something I am understanding now...

My dedication isn't to any particular group or nation, but rather to individuals. That was part of the reason I lead the Liberation Army to begin with. I believe in the spirit of a person. Every single one of the 108 Stars of Destiny mattered to me on a level that goes beyond any officiated thing. And it applies here as well.

As of today, I am retiring from the Police Force. I have already dropped off any equipment to that effect at the police station. You'll find those effects in a fur bag. You can keep the bag to. It's nice.

I will do what I can for the individuals here... and I will do so on my own terms.

I've got a strong suspicion that not only did Cecil incite Rika Furude's transformation, but that the guilt of such is doing things to him that he's not certain how to deal with. Sadly there's no real EVIDENCE... we can't do a thing about it yet.

Geeze it's been a busy last few days. I swear I've barely had a moment to rest. Between reckless people, taking care of monsters, my police work, and all that... I guess I really have gotten back into the bad habit of working non-stop. And the cold isn't making things better. I really could use a rest at this point...

-There's an odd sound heard suddenly. It's Rin's spell gobsmacking Tir right in the back of the head.-

hubbah...fifaaa faaa... ugh

-And the next sound heard is Tir landing face first on the ground. THIS SITUATION FEELS FAMILIAR.
